Umrah Visa Policy for Pakistani Travellers

Pakistani travellers generally need valid Saudi permission before travelling for Umrah. Ordinary Pakistani passports are usually not eligible for the direct Saudi tourist eVisa. Umrah is typically arranged through authorized channels, including licensed operators and official platforms such as Nusuk Umrah under the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. Visit visas, where used, are commonly filed through Tasheer centres in Pakistan. Always confirm the live rule set before you book.

Umrah Visa Policy Overview

Umrah travel from Pakistan is an immigration matter as well as a travel-planning matter. You need the visa or entry permission that matches your purpose, and you must follow current Saudi rules on stay, health and seasonal access.

The official Nusuk Umrah platform (umrah.nusuk.sa) is supervised by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. It publishes packages from authorized service providers and can include visa issuance as part of a comprehensive package. Availability of individual packages depends on ministry regulations for each country of residence.

Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony (MoRA) publishes an attested list of Umrah tour operators for the Islamic year and advises pilgrims to verify the operator, pay into the company bank account, keep the receipt and agreement, and book a complete package covering visa, tickets, transport and accommodation.

Who Can Travel for Umrah?

Eligibility is set by Saudi authorities and can depend on nationality, residence, existing visas, season and the documents in your file. Falcon does not decide who may perform Umrah.

If you are unsure whether your passport, residence permit or another country’s visa changes the route, check the official portals below and ask Falcon to map the file — do not rely on social-media summaries.

Visa Options for Umrah Travel

There is more than one way people enter Saudi Arabia, and they are not interchangeable. Dedicated Umrah arrangements through authorized operators or Nusuk packages are the usual planning path for Pakistani pilgrims.

Nusuk Umrah also describes packages without a new visa for certain travellers — for example GCC citizens, residents, and holders of existing visa types where the platform allows Umrah services without issuing a fresh visa. That does not mean every Pakistani passport automatically qualifies. Confirm on the official platform.

Ordinary Pakistani passport holders are generally not eligible for the direct Saudi tourist eVisa at visa.visitsaudi.com. Some travellers with a valid, previously used US, UK or Schengen visa (or qualifying residency) may be eligible for that eVisa route. Even then, Hajj-season and Umrah-specific rules can still apply. Do not treat a tourist eVisa as a substitute for checking current Umrah access.

Application Route for Pakistani Applicants

Most Pakistani pilgrims work with a licensed Umrah operator and complete a package-linked file (visa, flights, hotels, transport) rather than inventing a DIY embassy walk-in. MoRA tells pilgrims to use attested operators and to book the complete package from those operators.

Register and follow instructions on official Saudi platforms when your operator or the ministry requires it. Nusuk Umrah states that after registration, data is verified and packages are shown according to the countries available for individual Umrah under ministry regulations.

Saudi visit or tourist applications that are not Umrah packages are typically submitted through Tasheer Visa Application Centres in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta and Multan, with biometrics. That is a different product from an Umrah package visa.

Passport Requirements

Carry a passport that will remain valid for the whole journey and for any extra validity Saudi authorities currently require. Many Saudi routes expect several months of remaining validity — confirm the live figure on the portal or with the operator before you ticket.

Damaged passports, mismatched names across family documents, and passports close to expiry are common reasons a file stalls. Falcon reviews the document set; we cannot override passport rules.

Required Travel Documents

Operators and official platforms typically collect passport biodata, photographs to a stated specification, contact details, and the booking elements that belong to the package (accommodation and transport where the current rule requires them).

Family files may need children’s passports and supporting civil documents. Exact checklists change. Falcon prepares what the current channel asks for rather than a frozen internet list.

Visa Validity and Permitted Stay

Visa validity (the window in which you may enter) and permitted stay (how long you may remain after entry) are not always the same number. Read both on the issued visa or electronic confirmation.

Do not plan extra international nights that would push you past the stay printed on the Saudi permission. Falcon will flag an itinerary that looks too long; authorities still decide.

Entry Rules

Airlines and border officers check that your permission matches your journey. Carry the documents your operator and the official platform told you to carry — digital and printed copies where advised.

Entry can still be refused even with a visa in hand. Falcon does not control border decisions.

Makkah and Madinah Travel Considerations

Umrah itineraries from Pakistan usually include both Makkah and Madinah. Movement between the cities and access to the Two Holy Mosques can be subject to permits and seasonal controls managed through official pilgrim platforms.

Nusuk-related services can include Rawdah booking and other visitor arrangements for eligible travellers. Follow the official app or operator instructions rather than third-party permit sellers.

Umrah During Hajj Season

Hajj season is regulated separately from year-round Umrah. Access to Makkah, visa categories and visit products can be limited or suspended. Confirm the current seasonal notice before you pay for non-refundable tickets.

Our existing Saudi visit-visa guidance notes that Hajj and peak religious periods may affect visit categories. Treat that as a reason to verify, not as a permanent calendar.

Health and Vaccination Requirements

Health rules are set by Saudi authorities and can include vaccinations for certain nationalities or seasons. Requirements change. Confirm the current list through official Saudi health or visa instructions and your licensed operator.

Do not rely on outdated COVID-era blog posts. If a certificate is required, obtain it from a recognised medical provider and keep it with the travel file.

Travel Insurance

Some Saudi visa products bundle or require medical cover. Whether insurance is mandatory for your specific Umrah or visit route must be confirmed on the official application channel at the time you apply.

Falcon can note when a quote includes cover. We do not invent a universal insurance rule for every Pakistani traveller.

Accommodation Requirements

Official Umrah packaging often links visa issuance to booked services. Nusuk comprehensive packages may include accommodation in Makkah and Madinah. MoRA advises booking visa, tickets, transport and accommodation together from attested operators.

Independent hotel websites are not a substitute for whatever booking reference the current official system requires. Falcon confirms hotels inside the authorized process rather than advertising unverified properties.

Return and Onward Travel

Return or onward tickets are commonly requested so the stay matches the visa. If you are adding an international destination after Umrah, that onward ticket and its visa must be valid — see our Umrah + International Trip page.

Biometrics

Visit-visa files through Tasheer in Pakistan normally include biometrics at the centre serving your city. Umrah package channels may collect biometrics through the process your operator specifies. Follow the appointment you are given; Falcon cannot skip enrolment.

Women, Families and Children

Family composition rules have changed over time. Do not rely on outdated mahram or age slogans from unofficial sites. Confirm the current requirement for your household on official channels and with the licensed operator.

Children need their own valid passports and the civil documents the file currently asks for. Apply together when the channel allows a family group; still expect each person to meet individual document rules.

Extensions and Overstay

Whether a stay can be extended is a Saudi immigration question, not a travel-agency product. Do not assume an extension will be granted.

Overstay can lead to fines, deportation or future visa difficulty under Saudi law. Leave on or before the date printed on your permission. Falcon does not intervene in immigration penalties.

Common Reasons Applications Face Problems

Practical issues we see in files include expired or damaged passports, photographs that fail the stated specification, missing family documents, booking a ticket before the visa path is clear, and using unofficial websites that mimic government portals.

We do not claim to know how an officer will decide a case. We do work to stop documentary errors that cause avoidable delays.

Umrah Visa Processing Guidance

Processing time is not guaranteed. Season, completeness of the file and official workload all matter. Falcon will not publish a fake “3–10 working days” promise.

Start planning early enough that a delay does not destroy school or work dates. Ask us for a realistic sequence, then wait for the official result.

How Falcon Consultants Can Assist

Falcon helps Pakistani travellers assemble Umrah journeys: documentation guidance, coordination with authorized channels, flights, Makkah and Madinah stays, and transport. We explain the difference between Umrah packaging and a Saudi visit visa through Tasheer.

We do not issue Saudi visas, control Nusuk, or override MoRA or Ministry of Hajj and Umrah decisions. Official portals for travellers to verify independently include umrah.nusuk.sa, visa.visitsaudi.com, visa.mofa.gov.sa and mora.gov.pk.

Application guide

How to Apply for a Saudi / Umrah Visa from Pakistan

A practical sequence for Pakistani travellers: confirm the correct channel, avoid unofficial sites, prepare documents, and only then ticket the journey.

1. Decide whether this is Umrah or a visit visa

If the purpose is Umrah, plan through authorized Umrah channels and a complete package logic (visa plus travel services as currently required). If the purpose is tourism, family visit or business that is not Umrah, the Tasheer visit route or — only if you qualify — the Visit Saudi eVisa portal may apply instead.

Mixing purposes on the form is a common way to create a refusal. Falcon will ask what you will actually do in the Kingdom.

2. Check official sources, not visa blogs

Read the live pages at umrah.nusuk.sa (Ministry of Hajj and Umrah), visa.visitsaudi.com and visa.mofa.gov.sa. For operators in Pakistan, use the attested list published by MoRA at mora.gov.pk.

If a blog and an official page disagree, the official page wins.

3. Choose an authorized path

For Umrah, work with a licensed operator and complete the steps they give you for the current season, including any Nusuk registration. MoRA advises verifying the operator, paying into the company account, and keeping the contract and receipt.

For a standard visit visa, book Tasheer in the city that serves you and attend biometrics with the documents listed for that visa type.

4. Prepare the file before you pay for tickets

Gather passports, photographs, contact details and family papers. Confirm remaining passport validity. Ask Falcon to review scans before an appointment or portal upload.

Issue flights only when the visa path and likely window are understood, unless the ticket is refundable.

5. Submit, enrol biometrics, and wait

Submit through the official channel your route requires. Attend biometrics if asked. Track status where the platform provides it. Do not use unofficial “track my visa” websites that ask for passport numbers.

6. After permission is issued

Read validity and permitted stay. Align Makkah and Madinah nights, and any extra country, to those dates. Follow official instructions for pilgrim apps or permits. Carry the documents you were told to carry at check-in and on arrival.
